Teaching 288

1 I come down to your heart because it is my sanctuary. My word prepares you for the day's work that you must undertake. This preparation is spiritual and is in accordance with the mission you are to carry out.

2 In the first time, when the people were already ready to leave the Egypt of their captivity and of their trials, to go through the wilderness to the Promised Land, they foresaw all things, and prepared them all. They had prepared the walking staff, the sandals and the travel bundle, so that nothing would be missing on the wanderings.

3 In the same way, you must now take precautions and prepare yourselves so that nothing is missing when you "cross the desert.

4 But do not forget that that people did not only provide themselves with food for the long journey, but that they also thought to pray, to do penance to purify themselves, and to make the resolution to always remain united and form one family. If you want to know why that people were able to enter the Promised Land despite their many trials and misfortunes, I tell you that it was because of their faith, their prayer and their unity.

5 That spiritual seed is among you. Why should you not take that example as a model to reach the new goal?

6 You know very well that it is not the sandy desert that awaits you, but mankind. It is not a land on the surface of the earth that you will seek, but the fatherland of the spirit, which is beyond the human.

7 Verily I say to you, "Israel" will rise again to be like a torch in the midst of mankind.

8 I am raising you up at this time so that you may know that you are my children, that you are part of that people of peace, light and spiritualization.

9 Let your heart feel everything that moves or tortures mankind. Pray for peace for all, let your thoughts shine in the minds of others. I bless in advance those who fulfill their task to love and serve their fellow men.

10 I want your presence to serve to make peace, to comfort, to help your fellow men to be blessed.

11 Today you are still disciples in the face of my teaching and you are frightened by the struggle when you see how pain, vice, misery, selfishness have spread. In those moments when your conscience demands spiritual fulfillment, work, and activity from you, and your heart fearfully asks, "What shall I do in the face of so much chaos" - why are you afraid and why do you doubt, people? Recognize how my Word prepares you, how life constantly gives you practical lessons, and also how the struggle and trials give you the necessary resilience for the daily work that awaits you.

12 I am not sending you out to do a mission for which you are not sufficiently qualified. I will continue to teach you, and when you are strong, I will tell you: "Take up the cross and follow my footsteps. Until then, if you can only pray, pray for your fellow men. If you know how to heal the sick, bring them this comfort. If you have the desire to improve your morals, do so. But do something for the good of your soul, which should serve as preparation for the time when you set out and take up your cross.

13 Today, when you are not yet dedicated to your spiritual mission, but still have the desire to do something for the good of your neighbour, I advise you to pray so that you may know the power and might that prayer possesses You shall attain this light even before your struggle begins.

14 He who is inspired in prayer is invincible in trials and performs miracles on his fellow men.

15 I want that this people, who have been thoroughly taught by me, may be able to practice perfect prayer - that one which puts them in touch with the spiritual kingdom, so that later on they may teach their fellow men to pray, explaining and pointing out to them everything they have gained in experience on their way.

16 Why limit your world of thought to the earth's circle when you have an open world of light beyond the material world? Why subject the soul to human life, since an infinite space beyond your sight and mind is available to you?

17 These worlds of thought and soul are unused, because you did not want to get to them, because you did not know how to pray.

18 Mind and spirit, united in prayer, create in man a power superior to any human power.

19 In prayer the weak is strengthened, the coward is filled with courage, the ignorant is enlightened, the timid is unbiased.

20 When the spirit is able to work in harmony with the mind to achieve true prayer, it becomes an invisible soldier, temporarily distancing itself from what is in its essence, moving to other places, freeing itself from the influence of the body and devoting itself to its struggle to do good, to banish evil and danger, to bring a spark of light, a drop of balm or a breath of peace to those in need.

21 Understand, because of all that I am telling you, how much you are able to do with the spirit and with the mind in the midst of the chaos that has seized this humanity You are in a world of opposing thoughts and ideas, where passions rage and feelings of hatred clash, where thinking is confused by materialism and souls are surrounded by darkness.

22 Only those who have learned by means of prayer to rise mentally and spiritually into the regions of light, the spheres of peace, will be able to enter the world of struggles, in which all human passions are reflected, without being defeated, and on the contrary leave something useful for those who need the light of the Spirit.

23 Prepare yourselves, beloved disciples, and I will allow you to enter that world of pain and misery There your soul shall enter as a messenger from me and bring light.

24 Since you can recognize and know all these things already in this world - why then wait until you are in the spiritual? Do not wait until the days and times are over without allowing your soul to progress and be liberated. Do your part, and I will do the rest.

25 I am power, therefore I can change one of your thoughts, one of your prayers into something touchable and visible for your fellow men.

26 To work in this way - will you not in reality have an angel of peace in your essence? And what would this people be, if they as a whole prepared themselves with true harmony and brotherhood for that spiritual struggle and united for it? It would be an army that would fight to achieve the salvation of mankind.

27 Verily, I tell you, if you were already united in spirit, in thinking and willing, your prayer alone would be enough to stop the nations that are living in preparation for the hour when they will come to attack each other You would remove the enmities, would be an obstacle to all those evil plans of your fellow men, would be like an invisible sword that defeats the powerful, and like a strong shield that protects the weak. Mankind would pause for a moment for reflection in the face of these apparent evidences of a higher power, and this reflection would spare it many of the severe blows and afflictions it would otherwise receive from nature and its elements.

28 The tree of science will be shaken by the raging of the hurricane and its fruits will fall upon mankind. But who has broken the chains of those elements, if not man? Admittedly, the first human beings also learned to know pain in order to awaken to reality, to be awakened to the light of conscience and to conform to a law. But the developed, conscious and educated man of that time - how dare he defile the tree of life?

29 The life of the first men was shrouded in that parable which reveals to you how man lost the paradise of innocence in which he lived, and how he spurned a world of contemplation and peace for a world of struggle, work, development and merit. All this was in the context of what was to happen, in the spirit of the Creator's counsel. That spurning was necessary so that the soul would awaken to the voice of its conscience, which is the divine light within man, and that he would begin his journey, acquiring merits, ascending from the deeper level of life to the higher one, which the soul is determined by the Creator.

30 Thus it is true that everything was foreseen for the time when man would take his first step in the struggle for life, the development and elevation of his being, so that from the first moment when the first needs became apparent on his way, he would have a world, a nature, a life before him within his reach, like a beautiful, invigorating and sweet fruit, but whose content would give him infinite lessons of wisdom, love and justice.

31 How much shade and how many fruits has the tree of life and of science given to man! Then why, today, when humanity exists in the world as a developed humanity, does it appear blind and challenge even the elements that gave it life, and mistreat the tree that has never denied it the fruit of wisdom? I will tell you why: because man has stopped praying, and because he no longer prays, he has forgotten everything that belongs to the life of the spiritual soul. When he then devoted himself to life on earth, his highest goal, his greatest ambition, was to be powerful, rich, taught, absolute lord, and all this tore him to ruin, because he was bent on fleeting glory.

32 Though I want you to have longings, to be striving, to dream of being great, strong, and wise, but of eternal goods of the spirit. For, to attain those goods, all virtues are required, such as mercy, humility, forgiveness, patience, generosity, in a word: love. And all virtues elevate, purify, and perfect the soul. In this miserable world, in this temporary home, man - in order to be great, powerful, rich, or learned - had to be selfish, false, vindictive, cruel, indifferent, inhuman, and haughty, and all this had to bring him into an extreme contrast with what is truth, love, peace, true wisdom, and justice.

33 What will happen when men realize that their excessive love for the world and their reverence for the earthly have brought them to an unfortunate failure? They will try to rediscover the lost path, to seek out those principles and laws from which they had turned away, and in this endeavor they will create doctrines for themselves, they will make prescriptions for themselves, philosophies, worldviews, and theories will come up. All this will be the beginning of a new and great battle - now no longer prompted by unfair striving for earthly power. No more murderous weapons will destroy lives, destroy homes or shed human blood. The battle will be different, for then the great religious communities will fight against the new teachings and the new religions.

34 Who will be victorious in this battle? No religion will emerge victorious from this dispute, just as no nation will remain victorious in this murderous war that you are suffering today.*

* In the Second World War mentioned here, there were so-called victorious powers, but the struggle for earthly supremacy continued after the end of the war until today. In this struggle, however, no world power will remain victorious in the end.

35 Over the war for the attainment of earthly supremacy my righteousness will prevail, and later, in that battle for the enforcement of some doctrine or religion, my truth will prevail.

36 The only and supreme truth will shine out like the light of a flash in a stormy night, and everyone will see this divine flash of light in the place where he is

37 Until then you, people, will have time to advance in the paths and to reveal yourself in the way of your fellow men as a messenger, a forerunner and a prophet of the heavenly light.

38 While some will clear the ways of obstacles, others will sow the spiritual seed, and still others will fight, because my message is to reach the borders of the earth.

39 Sometimes your presence and your word will increase the confusion of men. But once this seed is sown, sooner or later it will rise. For - since it is of divine origin - it cannot perish like the seed of the earth if it is not nurtured.

40 Among you there shall be no "redeemers" nor judges. But still I will be able to redeem and judge through you. You are to be on your way as servants of your father, as disciples, and go into the provinces.

41 If you are truly humble and merciful, your works, your words and your thoughts, in spite of their simplicity, will touch the soul of those who have in some way offended against the truth.

42 In your way you will meet those who claim to represent me and do not prove it with their works. You will discover in scientists incompetence, which is thought to be taught. You will convince yourselves of the lack of justice among the judges and of the false greatness of the mighty. All this and much more your eyes will see. But yet you shall judge no one, because this is not your task.

43 My mercy will lead you there, so that your heart, honestly moved by human needs and weaknesses, may radiate as balm that love I have put in your soul

44 When you see that others of your fellow men teach the name and word of Christ, do not look down on them. For it is written that my return would happen when the word I brought to you in the "second time" would have spread over the whole earth. But I tell you that there are still places in the world that have not yet received that message. How could today's profoundly spiritual teaching reach those peoples without first having received the divine seed of love that the Savior gave you in His word and blood?

45 To all will my message come, and all of you will come to me. I have prepared everything for the times to come, and on all will my will be done, because I am the Lord of souls, of worlds, of races and of peoples.

46 A world of spirit beings waits only for the hour to inhabit this earth valley. They are beings of light who do not spurn to incarnate in the bosom of the backward peoples, because their mission will be just that, to awaken those who sleep.

47 When these great legions of spirits of light inhabit the earth, sown and distributed by the Father's wisdom, one will begin to notice the rapprochement among men, the desire for understanding, harmony and peace. One will see a people uniting with other peoples, as a sign of the universal union to which all my children must arrive.

48 Who will be able to change my plans or make me fail in what I have planned? Everything within the human has its limit, which is why I tell you that you now reach the limit of bad use, which you have made of the gift of freedom of will.

49 The frenzied course of man has brought him quickly to these ends, and he himself will make judgment for himself by the fruit of his own works.

50 Who of those who have heard Me, and who therefore knows the plans of the Lord, will be able to get into excitement or confusion in view of what is happening daily in the world? And who, who has heard me, will be able to remain indifferent, idle or dumb in the midst of a world that needs spiritual orientation, which is the same as saying: a higher morality?

51 My justice and my love are stronger than the wickedness of men, which is why I tell you that my will will be done in all.

52 Once peace has come among men, and mankind again understands the value of prayer and fasting, you will know that I am the Tree of Life, in whose branches, stretched out to infinity, you can recognize the arms of the Master, stretched out as on that Cross where He shed His Blood for you, imprinting on your consciences those words that say: "I am Life, he who comes to Me will never 'die'".

53 I am the seed from which I will create the New People of Israel - the people who are to give shade to the world and give it fruits of spiritual life.

54 Still you are very clumsy and fearful, your faith is small and your knowledge limited. The proof of this is that to this day no patriarchs have arisen among you whose virtue, zeal in my law and goodness are to give life to a people - like those righteous and upright men who gave shape and name to Israel in its early days. Remember Abraham, a leader who succeeded in making one family out of all clans - Moses, who with his faith, strength and love was able to unite the Israelite tribes into one people.

55 The gift of the spiritual vision is poured out among you, and yet you hardly hear the voice of your prophets because it is still very weak and uncertain.

56 So that I speak to you in this form, and to expect from you works which can outlast as an example for future generations, I have let you pass through the path of development before and have thereby made available to you the means to be able to unfold yourselves by sending you to earth time and time again to gather experience, which is knowledge light, and to purify you in the tests, which means spiritual upward development.

57 Do any of you believe that his present existence is the first he lives on earth? No, people, if it were so, I would not have visited you in this third time.

58 Your present life is another one of the journeys of spiritual unfolding that you have made in this world. I forgive your doubt, because it does not come from the spirit, but from the "flesh.

59 You may be the poorest among mankind, you may be considered uneducated and ignorant, your work may not have been of any importance until today, your worship of God may be something vague. But now spiritually judged by me I tell you again that I had a reason to choose you for my manifestation and my revelations.

60 With the chisel of My Word I shape your soul, your heart and your mind, giving you enough knowledge that your confidence in yourselves becomes great because you know who you are, from whom you descend, what you were sent to the world for and what your goal is

61 I have spoken to you of knowledge and of trust, that you may set yourselves to the right goal, which is that which your conscience shows you. For as little as you are to consider yourselves inferior by confusing humility with lack of confidence in yourselves, so you are not to consider yourselves superior to anyone. For vanity, pride and arrogance are not inherent in souls of light, but in souls that have been blinded by the light.

62 Now then, you know that you are "wanderers", and that on this occasion you have been fortunate enough to receive my message, and to be the carriers, the transmitters, and the voice-bearers of my message.

63 No uncertainty or doubt about your spiritual mission will be able to come to you. Everything is said, everything is laid out like a path full of clarity. You only have to become strong in prayer and in following my instruction, so that you may fully enter into the path taken by the patriarchs, the leaders of the people, the prophets, the disciples, the apostles, the true witnesses of God.

64 From all points of the earth I will let come the children of this spiritualistic people. For I repeat for you that this people is not a race nor has human origin. It is a spiritual legion whose number is constantly renewed so that there will always be those in the world who receive my inspiration from spirit to spirit.

65 Physically, you will not be able to discover who belongs to this people. Only by their spiritualization and the unfolding of their gifts and abilities will you be able to recognize them.

66 What is the essential mission of this people, the messenger of the Lord? To free humanity from every bondage, whether of the soul or of thought; to remind it of the law, to remind it of the divine promises; to admonish it in its aberrations, to admonish it to goodness, to lead it to the "Promised Land," which is the kingdom of love, wisdom, and peace, where all beings, all peoples, and all worlds will come to form one family: the family of God.
